A JOURNEY THROUGH BURGUNDY

We are very proud to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity to experience some of Burgundy’s finest wines including Grand and Premier Cru’s.  From Tuesday to Thursday in the first two weeks of October (beginning Sept 30th!), we will be offering a special selection of wines from Bouchard Pere et Fils matched to the tasting menu.  There are some cracking wines from the 2006 vintage including a Bouchard Pere et Fils Clos Vougeot Grand Cru.  This fantastic opportunity is priced at $180 and for reservations please call 02 9211 0664.

We have obtained premium wines and would like you to experience them here with a matched 6 course menu. Show casing wines from Bouchard Pere & Fils, we will start the experience from  South Burgundy working our way up to North Burgundy. You will be experiencing some of the finest wines from this region.

FRIDAY LUNCH – A NEW FLEXIBLE MENU

We have introduced a new flexible menu for those people who want to have a great meal but unfortunately have to get back to the office to meet that deadline.

Each week there will be a 3 course tasting menu for $40 per person, which will be taken from the a la carte menu. The menu is flexible enough to meet the time pressures that we often face at the end of the week and so let us know if you have to be out by a certain time and we will cater to your needs.

And for those who aren’t in hurry, you are of course able to choose from the full dinner A la carte menu - sit back and relax.

WOOLLOOMOOLOO WINES

The most exciting event to happen at Foveaux in early 2008 has been a new partnership with Woolloomooloo Wines which has given our customers access to great wines and vintages and taken our boutique wine list into a different dimension.

Whilst we pride ourselves on having an interesting and affordable list, the partnership with Woolloomooloo Wines has extended the top end to include some of the great wine producers from old and new world. Have a look at the wine list for more details, but to give you a flavour, we now have a stunning array of European and Australian back vintages from the 2002-5 Grosset Polish Hill Riesling, 2005 Josmeyer Grand Cru to 1996 Domaine De La Romanee Conti Richebourge Burgundy and the 1996 Lafite Rothschild Pauillac Bordeaux on the list! We hope that you are as excited as we are.
